As we celebrate America’s 250th Birthday throughout this year- 2026; we are reminded of the Founding Fathers.
Benjamin Franklin famously told a Philadelphia woman, “A Republic, if you can keep it,” upon leaving the Constitutional Convention in 1787. When asked if the new government was a republic or a monarchy, his response emphasized that the survival of the American republic depended on the active, informed involvement of its citizens.
Michael will present to us the historical information on the necessary ingredients of a commercial republic, its benefits related to Freedom as well as the virtues that a private economy manifest in American citizens each day.
